The 'Roll in Peace' rapper's recovery efforts have encountered another setback as he publicly admits to having been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

AceShowbiz - In recent months, Kodak Black's sobriety journey has seen significant fluctuations. After initially announcing he was "mostly sober" in July, the rapper has since disclosed that his progress has been short-lived. Social media users suspected he had ingested a Percocet during a livestream with Kai Cenat, prompting him to defend his right to use drugs.

However, in a recent Instagram Live session, Black dismissed claims of sobriety, stating, "B***h, I ain't sober. I look sober? Never sober, b***h. For what? Look at all this money. Look at all this cash. Sober for what? I'm too young to die sober." This statement has disheartened fans who had hoped for a lasting change in his behavior.

Black's substance abuse concerns have been further amplified by an incident where he appeared to ingest a pill during Cenat's livestream. He later defended his actions, while Cenat remained silent on the matter. Hosts Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267 attempted to provide guidance and encouragement to Black on their podcast, reminding him of his responsibilities as a father and the importance of his talent.

Despite his past commitments to sobriety, including a vow to stop performing the song "Super Gremlin" due to its lyrics about drug use, Black's latest admission suggests he has stumbled on his recovery path. In August 2023, he had visited a youth football team to discourage them from using drugs.

Black's previous legal issues related to substance abuse include a positive fentanyl test in February 2024 and two warrants issued for failing to appear for drug tests. It remains unclear if his recent video admission will constitute a violation of his probation.
