AceShowbiz - Quincy Brown has seemingly dissed his father Al B. Sure!, who recently posted a cryptic message in the wake of Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' incarceration. The 33-year-old, who was estranged from his biological dad for most of his life, appeared to throw shade at the singer while paying tribute to his late mother Kim Porter.
On Friday, November 15, Quincy took to his Instagram page to post a tribute to the late model on the anniversary of her passing. He shared a rare throwback photo of him as a child with his mother.
While Al B. Sure! was nowhere to be found in the image, Quincy wrote in the caption, "Here's a rare photo of me with my Mom and Dad," seemingly in a jab at the 56-year-old singer's absence from his childhood. He added of his mother, "I miss you every day."
Those who got the message wrote in the comments of the post, "Well Al B. Damned" and "Lmao not me looking for dad in the picture." Others, however, came to Al B. Sure!'s defense with one saying, "Oh wow so you're shading your biological dad just because he didn't use as much baby oil as Diddy?! please google Stockholm syndrome."
"Sad. I feel bad for your father. You're so brainwashed," another claimed. Someone weighed in, "Unnecessary. You can honor your mom without shading your father." Other critics penned, "Shading ur dad when ur other dad is awaiting his trial while in federal prison is comical. Especially after what he did to ur mom but ok" and "Nahhh don't do that.. Your Dad loves you king.. spend as much time with him as you can while you have him."
Meanwhile, Kim's twin daughters Jessie and D'Lila also took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message for her. "We can't believe it's been 6years without you," they wrote along with a black-and-white image of the late model with them as babies. "We think about you every single second of the day. We love and miss you so much words can't even explain. We wish you were here with us but we know your spirit will be around forever!! We Love you Mommy."
Quincy posted the shady message after Al B. Sure seemingly called for his son's freedom in a cryptic message. On Monday, he shared a quote via his Instagram Story, "Nothing breaks a dad more than seeing his love for his kids turned into a weapon against him," as he added, "#[Free]Quincy."
Quincy himself has opened up about his relationship with his biological dad. In September, he called out Al B. Sure! for being "absent" and creating "an irreplaceable force" that impacted his life in many ways. However, he said that he and his father are "cool now."
"I think we got a cool relationship, right? He tends to, like, try and do, like, the 'dad thing' a lot. But it's like that's not really where we're at in life. Like, we homies more than anything," he said on Angela Yee's "Lip Service". "We're like, let's go do something, you know what I mean? And I feel like that's kind of where we're getting at now is actually knowing that we two grown men. You know what I mean? We can talk about anything and everything. It's not about anything else."
Quincy also revealed that he reached out to his biological father via a letter in the late 2000s after being encouraged by Russell Simmons. "I love my dad. And like I said, we're way in a better place," he added.
