"5AM" (produced by Wheezy and Sean Momberger) finds Lil Baby wrestling with the pressures of fame and expectations. He raps about disillusionment, vulnerability and survivor's guilt, admitting, "Five in the mornin', just me and a 'Rari, don't know where I'm goin'/ Thinkin' 'bout all this s**t, honestly, I don't know how I be doin' this."
Last night, Lil Baby posted footage on Instagram revealing that he was shooting the music video and recording the song during a difficult time. "I had the darkest period of my life these last two years, but I stayed down and overcame that s**t now I'm back to f**kin s**t up as usual...," he wrote.
No release date for the album has been announced, but Baby hinted at another single and video coming this week. He has recently collaborated with Young Thug and Future, suggesting a possible joint project from the trio.
