AceShowbiz - In the Paramount+ documentary "Larger Than Life: Reign of Boybands", Tiffany shared her experiences of how her relationship with Jonathan Knight changed once they began dating in 1989.
After inviting New Kids on the Block to open for her 1988 tour, Tiffany began spending time with Knight. However, their relationship caused a rift with her female fans, who wanted to be with Knight themselves.
Despite trying to keep their romance private, the popularity of New Kids on the Block and Tiffany's dating of Knight led to a negative reaction from concertgoers. Tiffany faced heckling, name-calling, and even physical assault from fans.
The Blockheads' impact was so significant that New Kids on the Block eventually became co-headliners of the tour with Tiffany performing before them. Tiffany acknowledged the intense devotion of boy band fans, stating, "The fanbase for a boy band is like, crazy."
Tiffany and Knight dated for nearly two years before parting ways. In 2011, Tiffany was accused of outing Knight as gay during an episode of "Watch What Happens Live". However, they remained good friends and shared the stage again during New Kids on the Block's 2019 "Mixtape Tour".
Tiffany expressed her joy at seeing Knight happy and living authentically with his husband Harley Rodriguez. She noted that reuniting with New Kids on the Block was a "full circle" experience and brought a smile to her face.
