AceShowbiz - Shaboozey has a new single coming very soon. After breaking record with his track "A Bar Song (Tipsy)", the "I Can't Remember My Own Dreams" singer teased his upcoming song titled "Good News".
On Wednesday, November 13, the 29-year-old singer/songwriter reminded social media users that "Good News" will be released in two days. In the caption of his new post, he simply wrote, "Good News Out This Friday...Presave in bio."
The post came after Shaboozey, whose real name is Collins Obinna Chibueze, treated his followers to a snippet of the forthcoming single. On Monday, he made use of his Instagram page to upload a video featuring the snippet.
On the song, the musician sings, "Man, what a hell of a year it's been/ Keep on bluffin', but I just can't win/ Drown my sorrows, but they learned to swim/ Man, what a hell of a year it's been/ At the end of my wrongs."
"I need some good news," Shaboozey continues. "Sittin' here, sippin' on cold truth/ Nobody knows what I'm goin' through/ Bet the devil wouldn't walk in my shoes/ Wish someone told me/ Livin' this life would be lonely/ Tryna get away from the old me/ Still stuck singin' these blues/ All I really need is a little good news."
After releasing the snippet, Shaboozey received positive responses from Instagram users, who voiced their excitement for his new music project. One in particular wrote, "Can't wait to hear this! Presaved, let's goooo!"
Another gushed, "I dont even listen to country but his song go crazy. congratulations king!" A third exclaimed, "I've been listening to you when you just before 'Start a Fire' came out. It's crazy to see how far you've gotten. Big ups dude, keep grinding and staying positive."
Shaboozey broke the news about his new single amid the success of "A Bar Song (Tipsy)", which he dropped earlier this year. Recently, Billboard revealed that the track became the second-longest-running Hot 100 No. 1 ever as it spent its 17th week atop the chart.
