AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, two of hip-hop's most celebrated icons, have reunited on the Billboard chart with their new single "Gorgeous," marking their first collaboration in 13 years. The song, featuring R&B singer Jhene Aiko, debuts at No. 29 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart dated November 16.
"Gorgeous" reunites Snoop Dogg, the multi-platinum rapper, and Dr. Dre, a renowned producer and rapper, on the chart since their 2011 collaboration "Kush," which reached No. 43. The new track amassed over 3 million U.S. audience impressions in its tracking week, garnering strong support from stations in Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Los Angeles, the hometown of all three performers.
With "Gorgeous," Snoop Dogg makes his 69th appearance on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, while Dr. Dre earns his 34th entry and Jhene Aiko notches her 16th. Remarkably, Aiko has had at least one song on the chart every year since her debut in 2013.
The song also marks new career-best debut ranks for Dr. Dre and Aiko on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, while Snoop Dogg falls just shy of his best debut, which came with Lil' Duval's "Smile (Living My Best Life)" in 2018.
"Gorgeous" is a preview of Snoop Dogg's forthcoming album, "Missionary", which will be produced by Dr. Dre and released on December 13. The collaboration marks the first full-length album from the pair since Snoop Dogg's debut album, "Doggystyle:, in 1993. Doggystyle, featuring classic tracks like "Gin and Juice" and "What's My Name?", played a pivotal role in establishing the Los Angeles area as a hip-hop powerhouse.
"Gorgeous" also debuted at No. 34 on the plays-based Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and at No. 26 on Rhythmic Airplay.
