AceShowbiz - Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o has been cast in Christopher Nolan's upcoming top-secret project at Universal Studios. She becomes the latest addition to an all-star cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya Coleman.
Nolan wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, which is set for release on July 17, 2026. Universal declined to comment on the casting.
Details about the film's plot remain tightly under wraps, with Nolan known for his secrecy surrounding his projects. Despite rumors of a period vampire thriller or helicopter action flick, insiders insist that the true nature of the film has yet to be revealed.
Nyong'o will be making her Nolan debut but is no stranger to Universal, having recently voiced a character in the DreamWorks Animation film "The Wild Robot" and starred in Jordan Peele's "Us." She won an Academy Award for her performance in Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave" and has appeared in "Black Panther" and its sequel, "Wakanda Forever."
Filming is expected to begin in early 2025, and the project reunites Nolan with Universal, the studio behind his Oscar-winning film "Oppenheimer."
