AceShowbiz - Brittany Cartwright has clarified the circumstances surrounding her hookup with her estranged husband Jax Taylor's friend. During an episode of Bravo's "Hot Mic" podcast, she stated that they did not have a "no dating in the friend group" policy.
"I didn't think I was going to hook up with his friend. It wasn't planned," Cartwright said. "I wasn't trying to go after one of his friends."
However, she acknowledged that she and Taylor's friend had been flirting online and that she "always thought he was hot."
She also expressed frustration with Taylor's past behavior. "I was so mad at Jax," Cartwright said. "He never cared about how he hurt my feelings. He put me down. He didn't give me attention or affection for years."
Despite Taylor's alleged infidelity, Cartwright noted that they had agreed to certain rules during their separation, such as no one around their son Cruz or at their shared home, which he allegedly violated. "Just please don't have girls at the house," she recalled telling him.
"I don't know if he had anybody around Cruz, but he definitely had people at my house, because I caught him both times," she said. "Only two times I caught him. I'm sure there was other times, but I caught him twice, and I was like, man!"
Cartwright emphasized that she has no regrets about her actions and that Taylor "has no leg to stand on" due to his own infidelity. She also admitted that her entire life in Los Angeles had been centered around Taylor and that dating as a single person was a new experience for her.
Currently, Cartwright is unattached and has no plans to use dating apps. She expressed a desire to prioritize self-care and dating only for fun, without seeking a serious relationship at this time.
