AceShowbiz - Monroe and Moroccan garnered mixed responses from social media users following their recent surprise performance. The 13-year-old twins of Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were accused of faking playing instruments at their mother's concert.
On Sunday, November 10, Monroe and Moroccan became a hot topic on social media after taking over the 55-year-old singer/songwriter's Christmas show in Los Angeles. Making use of Instagram, one in particular claimed, "She wasn't playing that guitar." Another wrote, "I thought that grl was really playing that guitar."
Similarly, a third argued, "I honestly don't think that she's playing that guitar and it was drums. He look like he probably practice for this one particular performance. I'd love to see them on their own page doing it live." A fourth replied, "I think they were but I think the time she made her daughter sing, she was lip syncing."
It did not take long for other users to come to Monroe and Moroccan's defense. One of them stated, "Lmaooo this is a family Christmas show. You never saw one of these? You expected a full out symphony?" Another noted, "Most likely their instrument playing is pre recorded like some of their mother's singing."
The mixed comments came two days after Mariah, who is referred to as the "Songbird Supreme" by Guinness World Records, entertained her fans at the Hollywood Bowl in the city in California on Friday. In the middle of the concert, she told Monroe and Moroccan to take over the stage while she took a break backstage.
Mariah asked her beloved twins, "What do you guys think of taking over the show while I go backstage for a little while?" Roe and Roc appeared shocked by their mother's request. The "All I Want for Christmas Is You" hitmaker then assured her kids, "Cmon, you're gonna be great!"
As Mariah left the stage, Moroccan ran towards a set of drums before showing off his skills in playing the instrument. In the meantime, Monroe played the guitar and danced along with a number of backup dancers, who appeared to be as young as she is. The siblings offered the concertgoers a rendition of The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping".
