AceShowbiz - Mariah The Scientist has garnered mixed responses for skipping her gigs after Young Thug's release. The "Ain't Even Friends" songstress sparked chatter for canceling a few appearances on Latto's (Mulatto) "Sugar Honey Iced Tea" tour to be with her boyfriend.
On Sunday, November 3, the 27-year-old singer/songwriter received mixed comments from social media users on her decision not to attend some of the tour stops. Taking to Instagram, one in particular criticized her, "Canceling tour dates for a man IS CRAZY WORK!!! I would never in a million years let a man stopped me from getting a bag then he went and cheated anyways!"
Similarly, another chimed in, "Not gonna lie .. if I was Latto, I would be so upset. Like I invited you to do a tour with me and you cancel so you can lay up with your man? Like I get she misses him but really sis?" A third penned, "Bird Behaviour. Girl focus on your career and bag because if the roles were reversed Thug wouldnt leave his tour for you love!"
Meanwhile, other users came to Mariah's defense. One of them stated, "As she should ...All that girl did was took some PTO days to spend with her man , Like we would all do if our man got out of jail." Another supported the singer, "I love this for her. If you're a true Mariah fan you're okay with this."
A third added, "Yal are the most group of unrealistic people ever... This lady ain't seen her man in 3 years and she can't take time off?? Yal be ready to take off of 9-5 jobs for the brokest men... so yeah."
The comments came after Mariah canceled her appearances on Latto's ongoing tour. During a tour stop in Cincinnati, Mariah got a FaceTime call from the audience. She picked up the call when she seemingly was spending time with Thug, who was released from custody on October 31.
