Wayne's comments have sparked speculation that his frustration extends beyond losing the bid to Kendrick Lamar, who will headline the show. Wayne has a long-standing friendship with Drake, who has had a public feud with Lamar. However, Wayne stated that his disappointment stems from feeling personally slighted.

"I don't imagine it'll convince anyone in the NFL to flip the script on Kendrick Lamar and give Lil' Wayne the bid instead," the article notes.
