AceShowbiz - In a powerful and emotional update shared on Instagram, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Dorit Kemsley revealed the challenging health battle her 10-year-old son, Jagger, faced recently. The young boy was hospitalized for nearly two weeks following two surgeries for a 'septic hip' condition, also known as septic arthritis. The family's resilience and unity became even more evident as they celebrated Halloween together.
"The past month has been very difficult for our family," Dorit, 48, shared. The social media post was accompanied by heartfelt images of Dorit, her estranged husband Paul "PK" Kemsley, their son Jagger, and daughter Phoenix, dressed as characters from "The Flintstones". Despite their ongoing separation, the family banded together to support Jagger through his severe health scare.
The initial health crisis became public when PK posted on Instagram about Jagger being unwell and receiving medical attention at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in early October. "Mommy and Daddy have been with him in the wonderful @cedarssinai. We wanted to publicly thank them and the Drs and Nurses," PK wrote on October 15. He expressed gratitude towards the medical staff, a sentiment echoed by Dorit in her later posts.
Septic hip, a painful joint infection resulting from germs traveling through the bloodstream, required two surgeries for Jagger in less than a week. Although the family believed the worst was over, they encountered another setback. Fortunately, Jagger's indomitable spirit played a crucial role in his recovery. "Luckily, this incredibly brave, courageous little boy is a fighter (like Rocky, as he would say)," Dorit praised her son, highlighting his strength and positive mindset.
