AceShowbiz - Ramona Singer reflects on her fame in a new interview. "I never liked being famous," the 67-year-old admits. "I guess I was sort of famous, but I don't think I really was." She recalls an encounter where people were photographing her from trees during a vacation with her ex-husband.
Singer acknowledges the paradox of success in entertainment requiring fame, but she also expresses her sympathy for celebrities like Brad Pitt who constantly attract attention.
Singer joined the cast of "The Real Housewives of New York City" in 2008 and remained for 13 seasons. However, her tenure was marred by allegations of using a racial slur on set of "The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy" in 2022.
Following the scandal, Singer's name was removed from the BravoCon 2023 lineup. A source revealed that Singer was "very upset" and laying low.
Despite the controversies, Singer attended the Angel Ball to support cancer research, honoring her mother's memory. "She gave me her positive energy," Singer says of her late mother. "I became successful because I always had a voice in my head saying, 'You can do it!' "
Singer's former co-star, Luann de Lesseps, commented on a controversial New Year's post by Singer, questioning her self-awareness.
Currently, Singer is "happy in her life," according to Dorinda Medley. She resides between New York and Palm Beach, focusing on her family and personal well-being.
