AceShowbiz - DJ Envy has found himself in hot water due to his young daughter's choice of style for Halloween. The disc jockey, whose real name is RaaShaun Casey, was criticized for letting his underage daughter wear an "inappropriate" Lil' Kim costume.

On Thursday, October 31, the 47-year-old record producer/radio personality received backlash from Instagram users, who slammed him for allegedly not protecting his daughter. One in particular stated, "TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE FOR A CHILD TO WEAR THAT!" The comment garnered nearly 6,000 likes.

Similarly, another wrote, "I love lil Kim but this is super INAPPROPRIATE for a child! Like the look, the outfit, & especially THE LYRICS! Then for the dad to be perpetuating it makes it even worse! Like be soooo FFR!"

A third penned, "I get it it's different when your dad is DJ envy and maybe the love for music trickles down but there was just so many different ways they could've made that red outfit more appropriate."

The criticisms came shortly after DJ Envy offered social media users a look at his children's Halloween costumes. Making use of his Instagram page, he treated his followers to a video of his kids recreating Lil' Kim's "Crush On You" music video.

In the clip, it could be seen that one of his young daughters rocked a red bikini set underneath a matching jacket, which she wore unzipped. Meanwhile, the other children were sporting casual red-and-white outfits. Along with the footage, the DJ wrote in the caption, "Happy Halloween Eve!!! Presenting 'Crush On You' The Casey Crew Edition! Enjoy!!! Shout out to @lilkimthequeenbee (Stay tuned for another treat tomorrow)."

While many blasted DJ Envy, other Instagram users came to his defense. Among them was raptress Cardi B, who praised his daughter in the comments section, "She took the assignment very serious SHE ATE THAT !!!" Another added, "Those that are saying this outfit is inappropriate for a child are y'all ok??!! It's a SWIM SUIT!!!"
