AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion's shooting incident left a huge impact in the raptress' life. In Prime Video documentary "In Her Words", the Hot Girl Summer opened up about the big incident involving her ex Tory Lanez and how it affected her life.
"Ever since being shot, I've had anxiety about performing. I always think somebody's going to do something to me," the "Sweetest Pie" hitmaker shared. Talking about online trolling she faced, she added, "So many guys online say, 'You should have got shot in the head,' 'He should've finished the job,' 'He should have killed your a**.' "
Megan went on saying, "I can't separate trolling from real life." That made her wonder if she's safe in public as she continued, "Am I safe to perform in front of thousands of people? I don't know who's in this crowd."
The Houston star recalled having "a real breakdown" before Tory, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison, was found guilty. "I didn't feel like my life had any kind of value. I had to call 911 because I couldn't breathe. I thought I was about to die," she noted. "It was like three days in bed. I just cried every day. I never would have been a suicidal person . . . but I was feeling like that. I was like, I'd rather not live through this than to have to live with this."
Megan, however, was determined to fight her fear by seeking help. "For the first time since my momma was alive, I'm taking care of myself," she divulged. "I do feel hopeful for what's next for me. I'm manifesting happiness."
The "Savage" femcee has now regained her confidence. Recently, she made headlines for dressing as a DC Comics characte for Halloween. The musician gained praise online for her impressive take on Starfire, also known as Koriand'r.
