AceShowbiz - Robyn Lively, the titular spell-caster in the 1989 teen fantasy comedy "Teen Witch", has shared fond memories of the film and its cast. In a recent Instagram post, she reunited with several actors, including Dan Gauthier (Brad), Mandy Ingber (Polly), Lisa Fuller (Randa) and Joshua John Miller (Richie).
"35 years bwitches!" Lively captioned the post. "Tis the season! I can hardly believe it's been that many years that we made this unsuspecting treasure."
Despite its modest box office performance, "Teen Witch" has gained a cult following over the years, with Lively crediting the film for its enduring popularity. "Teen Witch holds the number one spot for decades now," she told PEOPLE in 2022. "Nothing compares."
Lively's sister, Blake Lively, has been a lifelong fan of the film. "My kids love it, but it's different," Robyn said. "For my younger siblings... Blake was - and is - a massive Teen Witch fan. Like, she would fan-girl over me."
The film follows Louise Miller (Lively), a high school nerd who discovers her magical abilities on her 16th birthday. She uses her powers to become popular and win the heart of the school's most popular jock.
"It wasn't just this campy movie," Lively said. "It's helped people through really challenging times."
The film's iconic "Final Hour" dance sequence, where Louise transforms from a wallflower into a popular sensation, has become a cultural touchstone. Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds even recreated the dance for their 2012 wedding.
"Teen Witch" stars a talented ensemble cast, including Joshua John Miller, Mandy Ingber, Dick Sargent, Marcia Wallace and Noah Blake.
