While accepting the Club Cosmo Award, Chloe Troast, former 'Saturday Night Live' featured player, shares her thoughts on leaving the show and how it has shaped her outlook.

AceShowbiz - A month after departing from "Saturday Night Live", Chloe Troast addressed her exit while accepting the Club Cosmo Award from Cosmopolitan and UTA Next Gen at ZCON.

"About a month ago, I found out I wouldn't be returning to my dream job on 'SNL'," Troast revealed. "Very Gen Z of me to get fired."

Despite finding herself in the company of legendary actors and comedians, Troast admitted to feeling "broken" after leaving the show. However, her ex-dressing room roommate, Molly Kearney, who also exited 'SNL', provided support.

"Who better than my ex-dressing-room-roommate to call me, get me out of bed, and help me see the forest through the trees," Troast said. "Literally, they helped me get out of the city and I spent a month in nature. Touched grass. Gained some perspective."

While "SNL" was a dream for Troast, she acknowledged that her departure has given her the time and space to explore new aspirations. "SNL was my dream, and now I have a lot of time to dream new dreams," she said.

Troast's tenure at "SNL" was short-lived, serving as the only new featured player for season 49. She showcased her singing talents in sketches like the Mama Cass Elliot impersonation and the "Dune" popcorn bucket song.

Post-"SNL", Troast recently appeared in Hallie Meyers-Shyer's "Goodrich" and will be seen in the Kiernan Shipka-Nico Hiraga rom-com "Sweethearts". Her brief but impactful stay on"'SNL" has solidified her as a voice of her generation, relatable to anyone who has experienced a major professional setback. As she embarks on a new chapter, Troast reminds us that even in the wake of disappointment, it's possible to find growth and new opportunities.
