AceShowbiz - Olivia Munn appeared to have proven that she is not embarrassed by her scars. Amid her breast cancer journey, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" actress embraced her mastectomy scars in a new campaign for Kim Kardashian's clothing brand SKIMS.
On Wednesday, October 23, the 44-year-old actress offered social media users a glimpse of her recent photo session with the brand. Making use of her Instagram page, she treated her followers to a series of pictures from the photo shoot.
Some of the never-before-seen snaps captured Olivia, who underwent a double mastectomy after her breast cancer diagnosis in 2023, going topless. She ditched her bra to show off the scars on her chest. Despite flaunting the scars, she looked confident striking some poses in front of a white background.
In one of the photos, Olivia could be seen lying down on her stomach. Pressing her elbow on the floor, she looked in another direction and opened her mouth a little. Another picture, meanwhile, saw her squatting while using her arm to not expose her skin too much.
While she took off her top in those snaps, Olivia put on a black Multi-Way Bra, which came with unique straps that can be changed around to 30 different positions, in the other photos. She also rocked a pair of black high-waisted tights. In addition, she let loose her dark-colored hair and parted it in the middle.
Along with the photos, Olivia shared how she decided to stop being insecure about the scars. She wrote a lengthy caption that read, "In the middle of this latest @SKIMS campaign shoot, I decided I was done being insecure about my mastectomy scars."
On the reason why, Olivia explained, "Every mark life has left behind on my body is proof of how hard I fought. I hope other women who have been self-conscious about their scars see these photos and feel all the love I'm sending."
"It's really meaningful to be part of an initiative that supports research and helps countless individuals impacted by breast cancer," she added. "From October 23, 2024 to October 31, 2024, SKIMS will donate to Susan G. Komen 10% of the retail sales price for each bra sold in SKIMS stores and on Skims.com, excluding bralettes (U.S. Only) #ad."
