AceShowbiz - Legendary actor and comedian Martin Short, best known for his roles on "Only Murders in the Building", is joining the cast of FOX's animated comedy "Grimsburg" for its second season. Short will voice Otis Volcanowitz, the newest and youngest detective at the Grimsburg police department. This news was announced at FOX's New York Comic-Con panel.

Otis Volcanowitz is described as Grimsburg's latest detective with a unique background. Despite his young age, Otis has seen it all, even claiming that the trials of the third-grade cubbies were more challenging than anything the streets can throw at him. The character aims to demonstrate that his role was earned by merit, not because he's a "nepo baby" whose parents, major town donors and owners of a volcano dump, are influential.

Martin Short's addition to the show squares him off opposite Jon Hamm, who not only stars as the main character, Detective Martin Flute, but also serves as an executive producer. Other notable cast members include Erinn Hayes as Flute's ex-wife Harmony, Rachel Dratch as his son Stan, Alan Tudyk as Stan's imaginary friend Mr. Flesh, Greg Chun as Lt. John Kang, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Flute's cyborg partner Detective Greg Summers.

Season 2 will also feature an exciting roster of guest stars such as Tina Fey, J.K. Simmons, Anna Osceola, Joel McHale, Tom Segura and Danny Trejo. "Grimsburg" is a quirky yet dark comedy centering around the life of Marvin Flute, a detective trying to juggle his professional responsibilities with his personal life. The first season premiered in January and the show has been renewed for a second season set to air this midseason on Fox, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Hulu.

The show is produced by Fox Entertainment's Bento Box Entertainment and is fully owned by Fox Entertainment. The executive production team includes Chadd Gindin (also the showrunner), Jon Hamm, Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady and Connie Tavel, with co-creators Catlan McClelland and Matthew Schlissel serving as co-executive producers.
