Dre, through his attorney, responds to Dr. Charles Sophy asking a judge to order the hip-hop artist/record producer to stay away from his former psychiatrist.

AceShowbiz - Dr. Dre has responded to his former psychiatrist filing for a restraining order against him. The rapper accused his Dr. Charles Sophy of seeking attention upon learning that a judge has approved the request.
On Friday, October 11, the 59-year-old hip-hop artist/record producer, through his attorney, issued a statement to TMZ. Howard King said, "Mr. Sophy got some text messages in 2023 from an angry patient who had been mistreated, along with his entire family, by a self-proclaimed psychiatric expert."
Making a reference to Dre, whose real name is Andre Romell Young, Howard went on to stress, "Nothing has changed since 2023 that would warrant this desperate filing and attempt for attention other than Mr. Young's refusal to drop his confidential efforts to have Sophy's license terminated by the Osteopathic Medical Board."
The statement came after Dr. Charles Sophy asked a judge to order Dre to stay away from him. Earlier that day, Charles filed for a temporary restraining order in Los Angeles County Court. In the legal documents, Charles wrote that he wants "the court to force Dre to stay 100 yards away" from him, his 22-year-old son and their two dogs named Maxx and Cash.
Charles, who accused Dre of texting him "over the course of 18 months," also wants Dre to "stop contacting him altogether, whether by phone, text or email." He then expressed his fear in the court papers, claiming that "Dre knows where he lives, and has previously been inside his home."
Before filing for the temporary restraining order, Charles, who worked as a marriage counselor for Dre and his former wife Nicole during their divorce, filed a $10 million lawsuit against Dre. In the docs, he alleged that the music mogul "started sending threatening texts in February 2023." He accused the producer of sending him ominous warnings, including "Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you."
In the meantime, Dre, through his attorney Howard, claimed that Charles "maliciously" attempted to turn Dre's son against him during the divorce. The spitter, who has filed a complaint with the Osteopathic Medical Board of California in an attempt to get Charles' medical license revoked, accused his former counselor of malpractice.
