Through these campaigns, Rare Beauty has raised over $7 million, impacting more than 1 million individuals across five continents. These funds are channeled into collaborations with organizations like the Trevor Project and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), emphasizing that beauty transcends appearance and also supports mental wellness.

Gomez's commitment to mental health is deeply personal. She has battled lupus and bipolar disorder, and her experiences have shaped her advocacy. Speaking to Vanity Fair, Gomez shared that being "properly medicated" has been pivotal for her mental and physical health. She utilizes various techniques like cold water therapy and grounding exercises to manage her wellbeing.

The support of her family is another vital element in Gomez's mental health journey. "I just try to build it around moments I can take a break. If I need to just fly to L.A. really quick, I'll do that, just because it's worth it to see my little sister's soccer game that I got to go to this past weekend," she told PEOPLE. Her family provides the stability she needs amidst the pressures of fame.

Gomez's transparency about her struggles, as showcased on her documentary "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me", aims to reduce the stigma around mental health. This openness is a testament to her resilience. "I like to remind people that that is definitely nowhere close to where I am now. People were calling me a victim.
