According to Wong, Andre's admiration stems from his belief that Kotb epitomizes female empowerment. "He loves Hoda," she said. "I asked him, when I was talking to him about dating, I was like, 'What is your type?' And he responded, 'Hoda Kotb.' "
Bush Hager also noticed Andre's potential as a match for Kotb, suggesting that they could hit things off. Kotb has been single since her 2022 breakup with fiance Joel Schiffman, with whom she shares two daughters.
Wong emphasized that Kotb should approach dating with confidence and authenticity. "You know what? I just decide before every date, I'm gonna be exactly who I am," Kotb said in a previous interview. "I'm not gonna pretend. I'm gonna eat what I would normally and not get a salad. That's not for me. So I want to be myself, so he knows this is me."
