AceShowbiz - Liam Payne allegedly is facing a major career blow following One Direction's breakup. It has been reported that the "Strip That Down" singer may not release his second studio album amid his struggles with his solo career.

On Tuesday, October 8, a source, who claimed to be the 31-year-old English singer's friend, spilled that his upcoming record has been "quietly put on ice." Speaking to The U.S. Sun, the source also said that "his day-to-day manager is no longer working with him after parting ways earlier this year."

The source revealed, "Things are tough for Liam at the moment." On the reason why, the source explained, "His former manager Roger stepped back earlier this year. He was a steady hand for Liam and he appears to be struggling without his guidance."

"Things have started to seem slightly erratic, with plans being made before they are cancelled last minute," the insider continued. "Liam had been doing really well on his second album but now it's completely on pause. Liam is telling people now he has no idea if it'll ever be released."

The insider noted that Liam may not launch his forthcoming set because his latest single flopped. In March, he dropped "Teardrops" that serves as the first single from the long-awaited second album. However, the track, which is his first single in three years, failed to chart.

The revelation came after Liam allegedly made his friends worried about his current condition. On Monday, October 7, an informant told the same media outlet, "Liam's behavior has been concerning many in his inner circle for months. For a while things seemed to be looking up for him but over the past year there are fears he is spiralling."

The informant further elaborated, "He's no longer around some of his old friends as he's relocated to America to start a new life out there which means many of those who are around him are 'yes men.' Everyone wants the best for him but things are erratic to say the least."
