AceShowbiz - Cameron Grigg is vowing to continue his wife's legacy after Taylor Rousseau Grigg's "sudden" and "unexpected" death at 25. Cameron revealed his late wife's wish to make the couple's travel scrapbook, which now he is going to finish all by himself.
On Sunday, October 6, Cameron took to his Instagram Story to share a picture of their travel scrapbook. He posted footage of himself flipping through the pages of the book, which Taylor initially gave him as a 21st birthday present. "Going to finally finish this out for you babe @itstaylorrousseau," he captioned it.
On the book, Taylor wrote, "There is no person in this world I would rather travel the world with than my handsome boyfriend." Her handwritten message continued to read, "So, I made this book so we can document all of our adventures!! If I remember you said we should make an adventure book like 'the old couple' on Up. So, here's ours but let's make it 'Cam and Tay's Adventures.' "
"I'm so excited to do life with you and, to start this book off, I've put a few must-gos on my bucket list! So, where we going first?" she wrote at the time. Taylor had listed plans to visit places in Idaho, Florida, Bow and Alabama before adding pictures of the couple together on trips to Galveston and Las Vegas.
Cameron shared the sad news of his wife's passing on Saturday. "No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age," he began in the caption of his Instagram post. "This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime."
He continued of his late wife, "And in spite of that she still has been such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her. She is the most brave and strong woman I know, and her confidence in the Lord outweighed every other circumstance she's faced, even in her darkest hours. I know she's saved my life and so many others out there."
"She's no longer in pain, but her body has been made whole in Jesus name," he continued, while revealing that Taylor's "earthly body is still here with us being ran by machines to keep her organs viable for donation."
Cameron also said that Taylor's undisclosed illness, which got her in and out of the hospital for the past year, has left them financially struggling. "With this being so sudden and unexpected we don't have anything financially in order. Taylor has been in and out of the hospital since we got married which has affected our financial situation, therefore we don't have any insurance," he disclosed.
He then shared information about the GoFundMe which was set up by a friend. "And even if you can't contribute financially, prayers for our family are always needed," he implored. The fundraiser, set to cover Taylor's medical and funeral expenses, has raised nearly $40,000 at the the time of publication.
Taylor had over 1.4 million followers on TikTok. She married her husband Cameron on August 19, 2023 after they started dating in 2021 and got engaged in June 2022.
