
After winning the Super Bowl, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce decided to pursue a new career in acting, landing a role in Ryan Murphy's TV series 'Grotesquerie'.

AceShowbiz - After leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory, Travis Kelce decided to take a break from football and explore his passion for acting. He met with "Grotesquerie" co-creator and director Ryan Murphy, who was initially impressed by Kelce's charisma.
Murphy offered Kelce a tailor-made role in the limited series, which revolves around a detective uncovering a string of heinous crimes. Kelce immediately accepted and underwent months of acting coaching leading up to the shoot.
According to Murphy, Kelce proved to be a natural actor, arriving on set prepared and eager to improve. "He's a star in whatever he does," said Murphy. "He has that charisma and commitment."
Kelce worked closely with an acting coach, demonstrating his willingness to learn and his professional demeanor. "He showed up off book, knew everybody's lines, and was so coachable," Murphy added. "He's a kind and sweet person, everything you think about him is true."
"Grotesquerie" premieres on FX on September 25th, featuring a cast that includes Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville and Raven Goodwin. Travis Kelce's acting debut marks an exciting new chapter in his career, proving that a star's talent can shine beyond the gridiron.
