AceShowbiz - Brian Austin Green, 51, was a surprise guest on the "House of Halliwell" podcast, which honored Shannen Doherty's legacy. He remained tight-lipped about his brief romance with Doherty, who passed away in July after a long battle with breast cancer.
According to Doherty, who admitted to the fling on the podcast earlier this year, it was "really short-lived." "We tried something, and we just went, 'Yeah this isn't going to work,' " she said. "The kissing didn't even make sense."
Green, however, declined to provide any details about their fling during the live podcast. Holly Marie Combs, who starred alongside Green and Doherty in Charmed, revealed that Green and Doherty were closer than she realized until recently.
Despite the awkwardness of their brief relationship, Green and Doherty remained best friends. Combs praised Green for his ability to maintain their friendship after their romantic relationship ended.
Doherty met Green on the set of "Beverly Hills, 90210", where they played David Silver and Brenda Walsh, respectively. Their characters never dated in the show, but Doherty revealed that they had a brief fling after the show ended.
At the time of her death, Doherty was known for her roles in film and television shows such as "Little House on the Prairie" and "Heathers".
