The 'Oops!... I Did It Again' singer's second child Jayden James, whom she shares with ex Kevin Federline, turns 18 in September, but will not graduate from high school until November 2024.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears will continue to pay child support to her ex Kevin Federline after their youngest son Jayden James' 18th birthday. The teen turned 18 years old on Thursday, September 12, but the child support payment doesn't end just yet.

Sources tell TMZ that the Princess of Pop and her ex-husband agreed in their divorce settlement that her child support payments for Jayden would cease on his 18th birthday or when he graduates from high school, whichever is the later date.

Jayden is currently still enrolled in high school and is set to graduate early from high school in Hawaii in November, so Britney is obligated to pay child support to her ex until then. She will make payments in October and November, and then it all stops.

According to the news outlet, the "Womanizer" singer was originally ordered to pay Kevin $20,000 a month in child support. But in 2018, the amount was doubled to $40,000 a month because the teens were in the care of the former backup dancer most of the time and there were additional expenses as the teens got older.

In August of this year, Britney and her team decided to cut the child support in half without telling Kevin. This triggered a legal dispute, where Kevin's team argued that if they ended up in court, the judge would give Kevin more than half, because he still has a number of fixed expenses.

In the end, Britney and Kevin agreed to the $20k a month, but the "Me Against the Music" songstress also paid Kevin a significant amount of money to account for those fixed expenses.

Britney and Kevin also share son Sean Preston, their firstborn, who was born in September 2005. Recently, it was reported that the 42-year-old pop icon has been reaching out to her two sons in hopes of reconciliation. "Britney has been reaching out to her sons more," a source told Us Weekly in July. "And [she] wants to start spending more time with them when they are ready."
