AceShowbiz - Joe Buck's wife, Michelle Beisner-Buck, has undergone surgery to repair a damaged nerve in her fractured ankle. The incident occurred during a freak accident on a golf course involving a golf ball hit by Buck.
In a video shared on Instagram, Buck explains how the accident unfolded during their golf outing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on July 7. As Buck was teeing off at the 10th hole, his wife, known for doing headstands, performed one at the tee box. Tragically, the exact moment she dropped her leg, Buck's golf ball struck her right ankle, shattering it and severely damaging her tibial nerve.
According to Beisner-Buck, the impact of the ball also damaged her tibial nerve, which connects the foot to the rest of the leg. After six weeks in a hard cast and unsuccessful nerve blocks and lidocaine infusions, surgery was performed to decompress the nerve and potentially accelerate her recovery.
Buck expressed his guilt and regret over the incident, stating that he feels terrible and loves his wife deeply. Beisner-Buck emphasized that it wasn't his fault, and she looked forward to getting back on her feet and enjoying life again.
ESPN reporter Adam Schefter broke the news of Beisner-Buck's surgery on Wednesday. The couple wed in 2014 and have twin sons together. The accident highlights the potential dangers and unexpected accidents that can occur during athletic activities.
