AceShowbiz - Dave Grohl's newborn child is yet to be introduced to the world despite a viral image believed to be the photo of his baby. An Instagram post purportedly showing the singer's baby girl has been confirmed as fake.
A representative for the Foo Fighters frontman told TMZ on Wednesday, September 11 that the musician is not the father to a baby girl named Roxie Junie Grohl, who was featured in the said post. In fact, the identities of Dave's newborn child and baby mama remain a secret.
The post is spreading like wildfire on social media after first being shared on Wednesday afternoon by an Instagram account for a user named @valeriegreyson. In the post, the user shared an image of a baby in a car seat holding a woman's finger.
The caption read, "my sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life." It went on to claim, "Your daddy, was by my side through the entire pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I'm so grateful for his love and support."
"As much as I want to share my joy with the world, I also need to protect our privacy right now. I'm happy that everyone knows about you, though, because you are such a special part of my life," it continued. "Roxie, every time I look at you, I see so much of your dad in your face ... you are truly a Grohl through and through. It's amazing how much of him is already shining in you."
Further making it obvious whom the user was referring to as the baby's father, they added "davegrohl" as one of the hashtags.
The public's interest in Dave's newborn child surged after the musician announced that he recently became a father to a baby daughter outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum. He said in a statement on Tuesday, "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her."
Declaring his commitment to his wife and family, the 55-year-old added, "I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
