AceShowbiz - Amy Slaton appeared to have hinted at a new relationship status. The "1000-lbs Sisters" star sparked engagement rumors after she was spotted wearing a ring on that finger, just days after she was arrested.
In photos circulating online, the TLC star rocked the apparent engagement ring when she went to court to face drug and child endangerment charges. For the occasion, she donned a black blazer and a blue top, which she paired with dark pants.
Should Amy really be engaged to someone, her fiancee's identity is currently unknown. While the reality TV star was seen holding hands with her friend Brian Scott Lovvorn, who was arrested alongside her earlier this month, the nature of their relationship is unclear.
After finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Michael Halterman last year, Amy was romantically linked with two men, Tony Rodgers and Kevin. Of her marriage to Michael, Amy told PEOPLE, "There was no support. There was no love. There was no kindness. There was just mental abuse. I just got tired of hiding it from people."
Amy further revealed that she left after she and her sisters confronted Michael, with whom the former shares two children, Gage Deon and Glenn Allen, together. "That's the day I left," the 36-year-old said of the confrontation, which was shown in season 5 of "1000-lbs Sisters". "But I was falling out of love with him before that."
On the other hand, Amy's engagement speculations emerged after she and Brian were arrested on drug and child endangerment charges at the Tennessee Safari Park zoo on Monday, September 2. According to the Crockett County Sheriff's Department, they discovered "what they believed to be mushrooms" and "what they believed to be marijuana" inside Amy's vehicle after smelling marijuana in the car and seeing the drugs out "in plain sight."
The two faced charges of illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule VI and two counts of child endangerment. They were eventually released on the afternoon of Tuesday after posting $10,000 bond each.
