AceShowbiz - In a hilarious promo released by ABC, Dan Levy and Eugene Levy take to the stage as the first-ever father-son hosting team for the Emmys. The clip begins with Eugene Levy declaring, "We're hosting the Emmys, and this year, they're going highbrow."
Dan Levy swiftly interjects, "No, they said eyebrow. They want you to make bad jokes about your eyebrows, which you're not doing." Eugene responds with a witty quip, "Why don't they go through proper channels? My brows have their own agent."
Dan asks his father back, "What did I just say?" Confused, the 77-year-old comedian replies, "What?"
The Levys, who won their first Emmys in 2020 during the pandemic-impacted awards show, expressed their excitement about hosting the upcoming event. "For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough," they stated.
In addition to their hosting duties, Eugene Levy is also nominated this weekend for an Emmy for his Apple TV+ series "The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy". The Creative Arts Emmys will take place on September 7 and 8 at the Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, followed by the Primetime Emmy Awards on September 15.
Dan and Eugene Levy's hosting partnership marks the first time a duo has co-hosted the Emmys since 2018. The father-son team promises to deliver a memorable and entertaining evening of television celebration.
