AceShowbiz - Prayers up for Fatman Scoop. The rapper and legendary hip-hop hype man has sparked concerns among his fans after he passed out onstage and got CPR during a gig on Friday, August 30.

According to TMZ which obtained a video of the harrowing moment, the radio personality was performing at Town Center Park in Hamden, CT on Friday night when he appeared to suffer a medical emergency. The footage obtained and released by the site captured the moment Fatman Scoop already collapsing with someone appearing to perform chest compressions on him behind the DJ booth.

The music suddenly stopped playing and there were murmurs among the crowd. Someone said on the mic, seemingly to calm down the audience, "We gotta hold up for a minute. You gotta understand this. Big man...gotta relax. I'm stretching. Big man...gotta chill."

The person who took the video said they saw Fatman Scoop falling over and he was ultimately taken out on a stretcher. As the event unfolded before their eyes, a fan was heard praying, "God, touch him. Lord, touch him. Please, father God, touch him. Father God. Oh my God."

Authorities said they were dispatched for a medical emergency at 8:33 P.M. Mayor Lauren Garrett later confirmed via Facebook, "He is being transported by ambulance to the hospital. We will provide updates when they are available. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers."

Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, was headlining Hamden's Green and Gold Party on Friday night, the final Summer Concert Series of the 2024 season. He had been scheduled to open the series on July 12, but the event was rained out, and postponed to August 30.

Details of his condition are currently available, while fans are hoping that he'll pull through. "My friend had the video that shows him collapsing. I pray for a quick recovery," someone wrote on Instagram. Another said, "Hope he is alright."
