AceShowbiz - On Monday, August 26, music icon John Legend took to Instagram to showcase his latest tattoo, a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Chrissy Teigen, and their youngest children, Esti and Wren.
The 45-year-old singer got the new ink on his left bicep, mirroring the existing tattoo on his right arm that features the names of Chrissy and their two older children, Luna and Miles.
Legend explained that his first tattoo, "chrissylunamiles," was a subtle tribute to his growing family. He enlisted tattoo artist Winterstone to design and ink this new tattoo, which he describes as "heart-monitor-like cursive." The design includes the names "chrissyestiwren," paying homage to his beloved wife and their youngest two kids.
Chrissy Teigen couldn't resist commenting on her husband's post, expressing her surprise at the double representation: "Wait TWO CHRISSYS!!!!!."
This isn't the first time Legend has expressed his family's importance through tattoos. In 2020, he and Teigen got matching wrist tattoos reading "jack" to honor their late son, who passed away during pregnancy. In 2021, Legend got a flower tattoo sketched by Luna, his eldest daughter, after Teigen had called him out on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" for initially backing out on the idea.
Legend's heartwarming family-inspired tattoos not only reflect the love and connection he shares with his wife and children but also serve as a lasting reminder of the precious moments and loved ones in his life.
