AceShowbiz - Production is underway for "Wednesday" season 2, and leading lady Jenna Ortega is back to bring the beloved character to life. However, Ortega admitted that she was initially apprehensive about returning to the role due to the time elapsed since filming the first season.

"I was a little terrified just because it had been years since we shot the first one," Ortega shared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".

Despite her initial concerns, Ortega quickly found her footing once she stepped into the iconic costume and makeup. She also revealed her involvement as a producer in season 2, giving her input on details such as makeup and prosthetics.

Regarding the highly anticipated season 2, Ortega expressed uncertainty about whether there would be another viral moment like the dance sequence from Season 1. However, she teased memorable scenes and opportunities to explore more of Wednesday's world.

In episode, Ortega also described meeting Michael Keaton in full Beetlejuice costume. The encounter left her startled, with Keaton jokingly peeling off molds from his face while introducing himself.

Ortega also praised Keaton's role in the original "Beetlejuice" film, calling c=Winona Ryder]'s Lydia Deetz character the "coolest." She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to appear in the sequel, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice".

Despite her nerves, Ortega approached her meeting with Beetlejuice professionally, introducing herself a second time out of costume, to Keaton's amusement. "I played it cool... until I met him for a second time out of hair and makeup because I introduced myself again because I forgot that I had already met him," she said.

"Wednesday" season 2 is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2025, while "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" hits theaters on September 6, 2023. Fans eagerly await these projects to witness Ortega's continued transformation as the titular character and her encounter with the iconic ghost with the most.
