AceShowbiz - Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison are set to make their debut as co-stars in "Home Sweet Christmas", an original holiday movie that will air on Great American Family later this year. The project is currently in production and will join the channel's fourth annual Great American Christmas block.
Hailing from Syrup Studios and Candy Rock Entertainment, "Home Sweet Christmas" follows Sophie Marlow (Bure), a mergers and acquisitions attorney who returns to her hometown in Washington after her late uncle leaves her with 60% of his maple forest property. She reconnects with Sam (Mathison), a long-lost childhood friend who has been left with the remaining 40%.
The film is directed by Paula Elle from a script written by Kevin Commins and Robin Dunne. Mick MacKay produces, and executive producers include Cameron Bure, Ford Englerth, Jeffery Brooks, Holly A. Hines, Eric Jarboe, Gerald Webb, Trevor McWhinney, Paula Elle and Martin Wood.
"We've been waiting 15 years to do a Christmas movie together and it's finally happening!" Cameron Bure posted on Instagram, alongside a photo with Mathison.
Originally, Bure and Mathison were set to star in "Jingle Bells, Wedding Bells" for Great American Family, but that project will no longer go into production this year. Instead, Bure will also star in "A Christmas Less Traveled," which has already filmed, in addition to her role in "Home Sweet Christmas."
Both films will premiere on Great American Family this year, with dates to be announced soon. Bure will also star in the channel's "The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker", premiering on October 4.
Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison are known for their roles on "Full House", "All My Children" and "General Hospital". Bure has been a part of numerous Hallmark Channel Christmas movies in the past but recently joined Great American Family as chief content officer.
