AceShowbiz - FX's upcoming horror drama series "Grotesquerie", created by Ryan Murphy, has set its premiere date for Wednesday, September 25 at 10 P.M. ET/PT. The 10-episode first season will stream on Hulu the next day and will soon be available on Disney+ internationally.
The series follows Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy Nash-Betts), who investigates a series of heinous crimes that feel eerily personal. At home, Lois struggles with her strained relationship with her daughter, her husband's long-term hospital care, and her own inner demons.
With no leads, Lois seeks the help of Sister Megan (Micaela Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan's past experiences have taught her the depths of human evil, yet she maintains her belief in its capacity for good. As Lois and Sister Megan team up, they uncover a sinister web that only raises more questions.
The cast of "Grotesquerie" also includes Courtney B. Vance as Marshall Tryon, Lesley Manville as Nurse Redd, Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie, Raven Goodwin as Merritt Tryon and NFL star/Taylor Swift boyfriend Travis Kelce in an undisclosed role.
"Grotesquerie" is written and created by Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken. It is directed by Max Winkler, Alexis Martin Woodall, Elegance Bratton, and Murphy. Executive producers include Murphy, Woodall, Baitz, Baken, Winkler, Nash-Betts, Vance, Peter Liguori, Nissa Diederich, Eric Kovtun and Scott Robertson. 20th Television produces the series.
