AceShowbiz - Ice Spice has been met with backlash over her ongoing world tour. The "Princess Diana" hitmaker enraged concertgoers for displaying video advertisements and movie trailers at her "Y2K" tour stops.
Recently, the 24-year-old female hip-hop artist and her shows became hot topics on Reddit, TikTok and X, formerly known as Twitter. One TikTok user made use of the social media platform to upload a video from the raptress' show.
In the short clip, it could be seen that a video advertisement of a cosmetic brand was being displayed on a huge screen behind a stage. Over the 8-second footage, the user wrote, "Ice spice playing ads at her concert is sending me [a slew of crying face emojis]."
The user also demanded explanation from Ice, writing in the caption, "@ice spice explain sis #teammadz." In the comments section, the user argued, "The princess diana money drying out."
Meanwhile, one X user claimed, "At the DC show and aint no way they playing ads in the middle of the ice spice concert rn." Another complained, "Okay ice spice having ads play before her show is one thing but playing a movie trailer about a concert where there's a serial killer is INSANE."
A third shared, "I went to the ice spice show yesterday and the weirdest part for me were the ads & movie trailers that played before her performance. I've never seen ads from third parties played at someone's concert beforeā¦"
In the meantime, a fourth asked, "I don't go to a bunch of huge concerts but is it normal for there to be nonstop video ads (lilly lashes) and movie trailers (trap) to play between sets lol because that's what's happening at the ice spice show and it feels grim."
Ice, who kicked off her ongoing world tour on July 4 in Denmark, appeared unfazed by the complaints. She has not given her response to the comments despite having shared photos from her concerts on her Instagram page.
