The Toronto rapper recently previewed Air Drake 2's redesign on Instagram, which was conceived by the late Virgil Abloh, a fashion icon known for his innovative designs. The private Boeing 767, which is almost 30 years old and was first bought in 1996 by Saudi Arabia's Mid East Jet, has undergone a major facelift that pays homage to Drake's artistic legacy.

The exterior of Air Drake 2 features a graphic reminiscent of the cover of Drake's 2013 album "Nothing Was the Same," showcasing a vibrant portrayal of blue skies and fluffy clouds. Interestingly, the current iteration of the jet also includes a graphic on the underside that cheekily reads, "Chances are she's on board," reflecting Drake's playful persona as a charismatic ladies' man.

Previously, the first iteration of Air Drake flaunted the message, "If you're reading this we left," a nod to his 2015 mixtape "If You're Reading This It's Too Late," and was painted with an overcast sky and lightning design - a creative decision again helmed by Virgil Abloh.

While the exterior revamp has caught public attention, details about the interior upgrade are more elusive. The original Air Drake cabin featured an opulent setup including three private suites, two living rooms, a business lounge, an entertainment room, and a bathroom with a shower.

Everything was accented with gold and wood surfaces, beige and light purple furniture, and carpeted floors. Whether these high-end amenities will see an upgrade in Air Drake 2 remains to be seen, but fans are undoubtedly eager to find out.

Drake's collaboration with Cargojet underscores his dedication to supporting Canadian businesses. "Supporting home grown businesses has always been a top priority of mine, so when an opportunity came up to get involved with a great Canadian company I was honored to do so," he mentioned in a press release. This partnership began in 2019, when Drake first introduced his private jet.
