AceShowbiz - Chappell Roan has once again proven her status as "your favorite artist's favorite artist." Selena Gomez took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 6 to share a photo of Roan, captioning it, "Is it Wednesday? No? Cool she still my Wednesday and everyday crush."

Roan has soared to fame since releasing her debut album, "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess", last year. After headline-making performances at Coachella and Gov Ball 2024, the album recently reached a new peak of No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

"I feel like I was right all along," Roan told Jimmy Fallon of her musical rise. "I feel kind of like, I made it already when people showed up to my concert a few years ago ... everything else has been a cherry on top."

Roan credits RuPaul's Drag Race winner Sasha Colby for inspiring her "your favorite artist's favorite artist" tagline. "It just hit me through the heart," Roan said. "And so I hope one day Sasha Colby watches me, and that's why I said it." Colby responded favorably to Roan's tribute, saying, "Goddess sees goddess, you know? Greatness sees greatness!"

Roan's success has not gone unnoticed by her peers. Several bands have covered her songs on stage, further cementing her popularity among musicians.

Despite her recent achievements, Roan remains grounded. "It feels like I was right all along," she told Fallon. "I feel kind of like, I made it already when people showed up to my concert a few years ago ... everything else has been a cherry on top."

Most recently, Roan made history at Lollapalooza with the largest daytime performance the festival has ever witnessed. The festival spokesperson described it as "a magical moment added to Lolla's DNA."
