AceShowbiz - Kanye West appeared to have left his fans excited with his recent revelation. The "All of the Lights" rapper, who is also known as Ye, announced that he had launched a new visualizer for his song titled "FRIED".
On Wednesday, August 7, the 47-year-old hip-hop artist made use of his Instagram page to tease the spooky visualizer. He uploaded a short clip from the 2-minute video. Along with the footage, he wrote in the caption of the post, "Fried visualizer available now on YouTube. Vultures 2 available now on www.yeezy.com."
In the video, it can be seen that many men, who look in sync in their nearly all-black outfits, are running towards the camera. The footage also documents them running around an area, which looks like an indoor photo studio with minimal lighting. The area is filled with massive blocks that come in the color of dark gray.
The men's faces and hair cannot be clearly seen as they are covered. While many of them wear scarves to hide their faces, others sport black headpieces that allow them to only expose their eyes. Some of them also don black shades.
The visualizer garnered mixed responses from social media users, including those who noticed its similarity to "skibidi toilet type animation." One in particular candidly shared their opinions on the clip, "This doesn't feel good to my stomach, ears, and soul."
Another joked, "NURSE he's out again!!!!!!" The particular comment received nearly 4,000 likes in three hours. In the meantime, a third argued, "I think we gave him too much praise in the beginning of his career because wtf is this."
In contrast, a fourth praised, "One thing I like about Ye is that his visuals always have artistic direction. Like, this is 'basic' but it ain't lol He never does the video chicks, and standing on the block. But when/IF he does-there's a reason. He puts a lot of thought in his art and that's missing in a lot of artists today. Especially the guys. They make the same video over and over."
"FRIED" is featured in Ye's collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign titled "Vultures 2", which was released independently by Ye's YZY brand on August 3. Guest appearances include the former's daughters, North West and Chicago West, as well as Ty 's brother Jabreal "Big TC" Muhammad.
