Pax Jolie-Pitt is still recovering and needs further treatments, which are said to be a long road of physical therapy, after he sustained a head injury during the accident in Los Angeles in late July.

AceShowbiz - Pax Jolie-Pitt may not be able to spend the rest of summer doing what he likes the most. The son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is reportedly still "uncomfortable" as he remains in recovery following an electric bike accident last month.

A source tells PEOPLE the 20-year-old is "still recovering" a few days after he was discharged from the hospital. "He's uncomfortable and will need further treatments," the source says, before noting, "Still, he was very lucky" as "it could have been much worse since he didn't wear a helmet."

As to how his mother reacted to the accident, the source says, "Angie was shocked and worried when she got the call about the accident." Meanwhile, the actress' five other five kids "are supporting Pax as best as they can."

Previously, the site reported that Pax "suffered complex trauma and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy." At that time, the source said both Pax and Jolie "are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders, and the outstanding medical care he received."

Pax got into an accident in Los Angeles on July 29 after he rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a red light. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital with a severe head injury, but he remained conscious and alert.

Lola Cavalli, one of the first people to assist Pax, later described his injuries at the scene. She told ET that she observed blood in his mouth but no apparent broken bones or severe bleeding. Following instructions from a 911 operator, she attempted to stop the bleeding but found it difficult to locate due to the head injury.

Pax was released from the hospital over the weekend. His mother remained by his side during his hospital stay, while his siblings, Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, "have been visiting and helping."

Brad, meanwhile, is "extremely concerned" about his son Pax's well-being after the scary accident, but he's unable to reach him. "He's been getting a steady flow of information about his recovery," a source told TMZ, adding that it's also alarming to the actor that Pax almost never wears a helmet when he rides a motorcycle.
