On Monday, August 5, the 45-year-old actress was out and about New York City. In a series of pictures that made their rounds online, it could be seen that she was strolling around the Big Apple alone. She seemingly was in a great mood as she flashed her radiant smile in one of the photos.

For the outing on the sunny day, Katie looked stunning in a chic outfit. She opted to wear a long-sleeved white shirt that came with pink stripes all over it. She also donned a pair of long white pants that featured a wide-leg design and simple earrings.

"The Secret: Dare to Dream" actress completed the look with a pair of brown mules and a matching shoulder bag. To shield her eyes from the harsh direct sunlight, she put on a pair of matching sunglasses. In addition, her long hair, which cascaded down her chest, was let loose and tucked behind her ears.

The new sighting came a few weeks after Katie, who was married to actor Tom Cruise from 2006 to 2012, made headlines for her concerning appearance. On July 22, she was seen with apparent injury and swelling on her face when she stepped out alone in New York City.

The former star of "The Kennedys: After Camelot" had a dark bruise under her left eye. Meanwhile, there was an apparent swelling under her right eye. She seemingly attempted to keep a low profile with a dark-colored baseball hat.

Later on, Katie seemingly hinted that she was fine despite her concerning look. Making use of her Instagram page, she uploaded a series of selfies, in which she embraced her makeup-free face without an apparent dark bruise and swelling on it.
