AceShowbiz - Brittany Renner appears to have had an enlightenment lately. The social media personality, who is infamously known for her controversial past relationship with PJ Washington, has seemingly ditched her revealing clothes for modest looks.

The 32-year-old surprised everyone as she debuted her covered-up look in an Instagram post shared on Saturday, August 3. In the video, she wore a black hijab that covered most part of her upper body while she was sitting in a car and delivering a message about "trust[ing] your wings."

While she didn't say anything about becoming a Muslim, many accused Brittany of mocking Islam with her clothes and questioned her sincerity after debuting her different look. "Are you mocking Islam?" someone asked in the comments section. Another warned her, "Don't play with folks religion if you ain't frfr."

A third doesn't believe that Brittany has changed, saying, "She wishes… she could never be this modest or decent. It's a f**kin custom to her... a mockery." A fourth simply wrote, "Shame," while another speculated, "I feel like she is making a mockery..."

Fuming, a Muslim user penned a lengthy comment that read, "STOP DISRESPECTING MY RELIGION!!!!!!!! Islam isn't a marketing strategy, a way to get in the blogs or a way to gain attention!!! It's a way of life and I would appreciate if you wouldn't disrespect the hijab. If you were serious you would delete or archive your photos uncovered! Please this not funny and my religion isn't a costume or some spiritual trend it's very serious. If you were sincere you wouldn't do it like this! Please stop using Islam as a way to gain attention or likes it's not funny and us Muslim take our religion very seriously!!!!!!!!!!!"

In another video, Brittany hinted that the modest look will be her style of choice from now on. "So I'm currently cleaning house. Out with the old, in with the new. Manifesting a new wardrobe," she said in the clip posted on Sunday.

"I have no idea how this is gonna look. I have contractual obligations, clothes to wear, posts to do, bills that have to be paid," she admitted her dilemma. Yet, she said that she still chose to "[show] up the best I can."

"I know that it's not gonna be perfect," she admitted, noting that it's "hot" and she's sweating a lot in her hijab. However, she stated that it's not going to stop her from "finding clothes that are more aligned with where I'm headed even if it's not to the book perfect."

"That's what this is all about for me. I'm just gonna show up and give my best. And everyday my best gets better," she further stated. In the caption, she added, "Wardrobe update! I am going to enjoy every moment of this walk of mine."

Despite Brittany's explanation about her new style, more people trolled her in the comments section of the second post. "You vs amber rose on whos midlife crisis is better," one user mocked her. Another claimed, "Something is mentally wrong with this person."

Someone remarked, "This is cringe af," while another alleged that Brittany's covered-up look is to win a man's heart, "Lemme guess. There's an Arab somewhere with a s**t ton of money you tryna bag." Another person weighed in on X, formerly Twitter, "I just saw Brittany Renner in a hijab. I don't know if she's trolling or she's being serious. Lol."
