AceShowbiz - Jenna Dewan has found herself in hot water following her recent social media post. After sharing her breastfeeding photos, the actress portraying Bailey Nune on "The Rookie" was blasted by some online critics.
On Sunday, July 7, many social media users responded to the 43-year-old actress' new Instagram post. Some of them did not hesitate to slam her for posting the pictures, which captured her breastfeeding her newborn.
In the comments section of the post, one in particular asked, "Weird, no? Not feeding your child obviously, but why post this pic just curious?" Another criticized, "The same people that will complain that people gawk in public are the same people that post it all over social media. It's a special moment between mother and child but the rest of us don't need to see it. Keep those memories for yourself.!"
Despite the backlash, many other Instagram users came to Jenna's defense. One of them pointed out, "I'll try to say this loud enough for your old ears FEEDING YOUR BABY IS NOT A 'PRIVATE' MOMENT."
Similarly, another wrote, "1. She is celebrating the birth of her child. 2. exactly why you feel the need to comment on it is probably why she's posting it, normalizing breast-feeding, which is the most natural thing and no one should be freaked out about it. Moms shouldn't be made to hide it."
The mixed comments came shortly after Jenna offered her followers a look at her activities after giving birth to her third child. In the Saturday, July 6 post, she uploaded a series of photos highlighting the actress breastfeeding her daughter Rhiannon, whom she welcomed with her 48-year-old fiance Steve Kazee on June 14.
One of the pictures saw Jenna sitting on a sofa in her house while breastfeeding Rhiannon. On her lap, she had a pillow on which Rhiannon was lying down. The actress looked in good spirits as she flashed her radiant big smile at the camera. Along with the snaps, she wrote in the caption of the post, "Postpartum is truly a vibe."
