AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus may have a huge show to be prepared for next year. It has been reported that the "Flowers" hitmaker will follow in fellow singer Usher's footsteps to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2025.
On Sunday, July 7, the 31-year-old singer/actress became a hot topic on Instagram after it was revealed that she will take the stage at the sports event next year. The rumor prompted Instagram users to share their thoughts on the songstress headlining the upcoming show.
Many social media users appeared happy with the revelation, with one gushing, "This will be the most Iconic super ball of all time." Similarly, another chimed in, "Omg hell f**king yes," adding a slew of flame emojis. A third exclaimed, "YESSSSSS QUEEN MILEY." Meanwhile, a fourth seemingly wanted Beyonce Knowles to headline the show, writing, "BEYONCE!!!!!"
That same day, it was said that Miley's collaborative song with Calvin Harris titled "Ocean" has been scrapped. A blog on the same social media platform unveiled that their joint track "has officially been discarded."
On the reason why, the blog spilled, "Calvin responded to comments that he was trying to release it but Miley's team did not authorize the release." It was also noted that the disc jockey has "deleted all the previews" that he shared on his social media page.
The report came more than two months after Calvin sparked speculations suggesting that he was collaborating with Miley for the song. On May 1, the "Merrymaking at My Place" artist teased an unreleased track, which was believed to feature Miley.
The 40-year-old Scottish musician shared via Instagram a video documenting a breathtaking view of a beach. The clip also featured a snippet, in which Miley sings, "Sun is up, back to life, my eyes are open/ And the last thing I remember was you holding me/ The fact that I still love you in the morning/ Tells me that your body might be home for me."
Later in May, Calvin continued teasing the collaborative track. On Instagram, he let out short footage from his concert in Mexico, wherein played the joint song. He looked excited for concertgoers to listen to the song.
