AceShowbiz - Shannon Beador is feeling a lot of remorse following her DUI arrest in September 2023. In a new teaser for Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 18, Shannon can be seen tearfully apologizing to her daughters over the matter.

The 60-year-old star gets emotional as she talks about her "mistakes" with daughters Sophie (22) and 19-year-old twins Stella and Adeline. "I took Sophie to college, I took Adeline to college, and your dad took you, so it was my intent to come and visit you," Shannon said to Stella. "But because of my mistakes, I wasn't able to come. And I feel bad."

Teary-eyed, the TV star told her children, "I'm so sorry and humiliated that I disappointed you. What kind of example am I at 59?" She continued, "I've never broken a bone, I've never had a concussion, I've never been in an accident, I've never been arrested, I've never had a DUI - and I did all that in 10 seconds."

Sophie acknowledged that the situation "sucks" but felt it "happened for a reason." Shannon responded, "God has a plan. I absolutely believe that."

Sophie also applauded her mom for "taking more initiative" to figure out "why things have happened" in her life and why she keeps "certain people" around. The Bravolebrity totally agreed with her daughter as she claimed that the ordeal made her see who her "true friends are."

Stella told her mom she's glad "no one was hurt" as a result of the incident. Meanwhile, Sophie added, "And that you take accountability for your actions and you learn from them and you grow."

In the preview, Shannon revealed she was at her ex John Janssen's house moments before the accident and that she left in the heat of an argument after she had been drinking. "I got in an accident seconds later because I revved up the engine so he could know how mad I was. And I lost control of the car," she recalled in a confessional.

Shannon was arrested on September 18, 2023 for drunk driving and a hit-and-run. The Bravo personality was booked for two misdemeanors - an alcohol-related DUI and hit-and-run - and released.

At the time, the star's attorney Michael L. Fell said the reality star was "extremely apologetic and remorseful" following the event. Shannon was sentenced later in November to three years of probation and 40 hours of community service, according to PEOPLE and Entertainment Tonight.
Season 18 of "RHOC" will premiere on July 11 on Bravo.
