Ice Spice Accused of Copying Nicki Minaj After Sharing New Snippet

The 'Munch (Feelin' U)' raptress draws comparison to her 'Barbie World' collaborator after she teases a new song in a video that also sees her switching her hair style.

AceShowbiz - Ice Spice has sparked a debate with her new snippet. After dropping a video to tease her new song, the Bronx femcee raised eyebrows with her different flow and new hair style that draw comparison to her close collaborator Nicki Minaj.

"Got these b***hes copying my pose/ Got these b***hes bitin' all my flows," Ice Spice, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston, rhymes in the snippet. "Like Ballerinas keep them on they toes!!/ And I really write, like f**k a ghost."

Moreover, Ice Spice rocks a new hair style in the clip. Instead of rocking her iconic short curls or long wig, she sports a brand new bob cut that complemented her eye-catching look in a short green dress with fluffy fur long sleeves.

"phattt buttttttttt," she simply captioned the snippet, which has a clear message for her competition to stop biting.

Interestingly, many thought that Ice Spice emulates Nicki a little too much in the video. "That was very Nicki -ish in the beginning but hey they both from NY so idk," one person weighed in on the snippet.

"What is the ice minaj," a confused fan asked. A third remarked, "Nicki Minaj ahh flow," while someone else claimed, "I thought it was Nicki for second like even the voice."

Others, meanwhile, were simply happy that Ice Spice seemingly has new music to drop soon. "let's goooooooo," another fan reacted to the video. "Can't wait," someone commented, as other excited fans left comments that read, "Yeah this the one boo" and "Omg now this is [fire emojis] Yass can't wait to see you."

Ice Spice has collaborated with Nicki on two songs, the "Princess Diana" remix and "Barbie World", a song from the "Barbie" movie. The 24-year-old previously has revealed that she aspired to be the "Starships" femcee. "When I saw Nicki [Minaj], I was so mesmerized. She's the first female rapper that I seen. And ever since then, I was kinda set on what I wanted to be," she shared.
