The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion receives supportive comments from her followers after releasing a video of her struggling to fit into her denim skirt.

AceShowbiz - Serena Williams has revealed one of her relatable postpartum struggles. The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion was struggling to fit into her denim skirt several months after giving birth to her second child.

On Wednesday, May 22, the 42-year-old athlete took to Instagram to upload a video, which documented her putting on a long dark blue denim skirt. In the short clip, it could be seen that she was trying to fit into the clothing piece in what appeared to be her bedroom.

While standing near her luxury bathroom, Serena was filmed unbuttoning the skirt before putting it on. It seems easy in the beginning before the skirt reaches her lower back. She kept on trying despite the skirt getting stuck.

"Back by popular demand, or in my mind," Serena stated in the footage. "Ok, so I am going to try on my skirt again to see if it's any closer than it was four weeks ago. Honestly, I feel like it's gonna fit the same." She noted that she has "been gym-ing alot" but she did not think that "the needle is moving."

"It's getting there," she went on to say as she showed how the skirt looked from the back. Eventually, she accepted the fact that the skirt can't cover her lower back. She took a deep breath before taking it off and pretending to break down in tears. She stated, "I just wanna cry. But I'm not. I'm just gonna stop eating all those snacks."

Along with the never-before-seen video, Serena wrote in the caption of the post, "Ok everyone, I have been working my [a peach emoji] off! Let's see what happens with my jean skirt. Can I fit it yet? Check it out!"

After releasing the clip, Serena, who announced in August 2023 that she and her husband Alexis Ohanian have welcomed their second child, was praised by many for sharing her relatable weight loss journey. In the comments section, one in particular wrote, "Thank you for doing this and showing that it's a process after giving birth for world class athletes. You're even more stunning and real!"

Similarly, another chimed in, "Thanks for showing us, that you have the same struggles we do. Work out, try it on, work out change it up, try it on. All of our same goals too. Thank you." A third penned, "I'm crying. I love that she would show us this."
