AceShowbiz - A new Vision series has been greenlit by Disney+. The upcoming Marvel series will see Paul Bettany reprising his superhero role with Terry Matalas ("Star Trek: Picard") joining as showrunner.
While plot details are still unknown, it's been reported that the series has been in development at Disney+ since 2022. Rumor has it, the planned series will follow The Vision as he's trying to regain his memory and humanity. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is also set to appear.
According to reports, the new spinoff was unofficially referred to by some as the White Vision project. White Vision was introduced at the end of Episode 8 of "WandaVision". It was created by S.W.O.R.D. by rebuilding and reactivating Vision's body and sent on a mission to destroy Wanda and her "Conditional" Vision.
Following an epic showdown in the final ninth episode of "WandaVision", "Conditional" Vision scanned the memories of White Vision. White Vision then declared, "I am Vision," before he disappeared in the sky.
The yet-untitled Vision series marks the second spin-off of "WandaVision" after "Agatha All Along". Kathryn Hahn returns as Wanda's Westview neighbor and fellow witch, Agatha Harkness, on the show that is slated to premiere in September.
Marvel is also working on "Daredevil: Born Again" and "Ironheart". It also develops "Eyes of Wakanda" and "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" as well as "a live-action series Noir" starring Nicolas Cage which is a part of the Sony Spider-verse.
Terry, meanwhile, started his career with "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Star Trek: Enterprise". He then worked as a co-showrunner for season 2 and the sole showrunner for its third season of "Star Trek: Picard". Terry was additionally the co-creator and showrunner for "12 Monkeys".
