The 66-year-old 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'Fargo' actor previously fell victim to random physical attack in New York City, and now the suspect has been arrested and charged.

AceShowbiz - On May 8, the 66-year-old actor was walking in Kips Bay when a 50-year-old man, Clifton Williams, punched him in the face. Steve Buscemi was taken to the hospital with bleeding, bruising, and swelling to his left eye.

Police identified Williams as the suspect on Tuesday and arrested him on Friday. He was charged with second-degree assault.

Williams is also accused of punching a 22-year-old man near East 15th Street and Third Avenue just 10 minutes before attacking Buscemi. He was charged with misdemeanor assault in that incident.

Buscemi's publicist released a statement saying that he "is OK and appreciates everyone's well wishes."

The attack on Buscemi comes after his "Boardwalk Empire" co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was struck in the back of the neck with a rock in March while walking through Central Park.

In a separate incident, "[The Real Housewives of New York City]" alum Bethenny Frankel claimed she was the victim of another random attack while walking around the city.

The recent attacks have raised concerns about the safety of pedestrians in New York City.
